Treatment at Hillcrest Recovery
What Happens When You Check In
Once you arrive at the facility, our admissions staff will conduct several health screenings to establish the state of your physical and mental health. These screenings will establish a medical baseline, determine the level of drugs and alcohol in the system, and diagnose any mental health conditions. This information is used to create your detox protocol.
Detox typically lasts seven to ten days, but it can be longer depending on the nature of your addiction. The detox process requires that you abstain from drugs and alcohol so that you can expel toxins from the body and remove any dependency you may have. It’s common to experience withdrawal symptoms as your brain and body return to a balanced, sober state. We provide comfort medications to ease the severity of these symptoms. We make detox as safe and comfortable as possible.
What to Expect After Detox
After detox, we begin treatment. You’ll meet with a licensed psychiatrist twice a week, group therapy sessions weekly, daily exercise, yoga and meditation sessions, massage therapy, and so much more. We believe in treating addiction holistically, so we schedule a variety of activities daily. The Residential Inpatient Program lasts 30-45 days.
